Clean the Word!

 

In September we organized action “Cleaning the World” and we concentrated on the surrounding forests, which were very littered, but now, thanks to our initiative they look very beautiful and clean. 

Our school library has vide range of literature concerning energy saving and environmental protection.  During 3 years those books were very popular not only among students at every age  but also teachers and parents, who as well were affected by EURONET 50/50 project.

In our school we also celebrated Day of the Earth. We organized instructive initiative to influence citizens of Jadachy and persuade them to be more eco friendly. We prepared banners and walked through the village. School theater prepared the performance and eco fashion show. Tree seedlings were planted near the school.

Our school was engaged in many ecological projects organized in Poland and it gained many awards. We were very proud because our hard work was appreciated and we got more motivation.

What we do ;)

 

Wall newspaper about healthy lifestyle, energy saving and energy efficiency were made for those who were not engaged in the project to enhance them to participate. To extend our vocabulary we wrote rules of energy saving also in English. 

 

 

We collected materials that can be recycled: paper, plastic bottlers, cans, batteries, used tonners and old cell-phones. We also organized collection of old electric devices  and information campaign about threats caused by keeping it.  It was very popular among citizens, who were willing to get rid of old electric equipment. Collecting that kind of wastes  protects us from creating illegal waste dumps which are unfortunately common in our neighbourhood.

Older students form secondary school participated in workshops about sustainable usage of paper and things made from wood. We all know that forests protection is very important for quality of air we breathe. We started to save paper from that day.
